Asian Handicap

Asian Handicap

Although for experienced players this is already a routine for those with a little less experience who are accustomed to betting only on 1 x 2 or the "European Handicap". this game is a little less well known. The Asian handicap needs to be thought of equally. Here you will read how Asian handicap works, if you are not familiar with the basic rules of Asian handicap, we recommend reading it.

Two outcomes instead of three

Asian handicap is different from European handicap in that there are only two outcomes you can bet on. For starters, here's an example of a match between Milan and Lazio.

In European handicap, bookmakers offer you this:

Milan - Lazio (0-1): 1: 2.25 Ks: 3.60 2: 3. 00

In Asian handicap it will look like this:

Milan (-1.5) - Lazio (+1.5): 2.35-1.55

The same type can also be composed as follows:

Milan (-1.5) - Lazio: 2.35 - 1.65 or Milan (-1.5): 2.35 Lazio (+1.5): 1.65

As you can see, there are only two outcomes in the Asian handicap. In this case, the player can bet that Milan will win with 2 goals or more, with odds of 2.35, or that Lazio lose with at most one goal, with odds of 1.65.

In a European handicap, you can bet on three outs: a victory for Milan with two or more goals difference, a victory for Milan with one goal, or for Lazio to win or draw.

What if in the Asian handicap of Milan, the sign is -1 instead of -1.5?

In that case, it would look like this:

Milan (-1) - Lazio (+1): 1.75 - 2.20

If you are betting on Milan (here at odds of 1.75) they should win by two goals difference to win your bet. If you bet on Lazio (odds 2.20) you will receive a bet if Lazio does not lose. Similar to the European Handicap, but with one significant difference.

What if Milan wins by one goal difference? In European Handicap (0-1). those who bet on X won the bet, while those who bet on Milan or Lazio lose the bet. This is not the case in Asian handicap. because, like we said, there are two betting options. Here, if Milan wins by one goal, players who have bet on Milan and Lazio get their money back.

If the match is offered by the next handicap

Milan (-0.5) - Lazio (+0.5): 1.40 - 3.05 (when for Milan handicap -0.5)

This is a similar principle to the initial example (-1.5) except that the handicap here is smaller and the condition is for Milan to win.

As you can see, there is a difference in the odds because winning a 2 goal difference is less likely than just winning a team.

Likewise, a condition for Lazio, when they need at least a draw. is significantly more difficult than the previous example, because here it can lose with one goal difference.

Imagine the following handicap:

Milan (0) - Lazio (0): 1.20 - 4.75

This means that the two teams start from scratch and that if you make a payment to one of the teams, if there is a draw, the money will be refunded.

That would be the case for Asian handicaps that offer 'clean', full or half goals. But that's not all, bookmakers often offer other options on this type of betting.

Fragmented or Asian handicap in quarters

Suppose a bookmaker offers the following odds:

Milan (-1.25) - Roma (+1.25): 2.00 - 1.90

Milan (-1, -1.5) - Roma (+1, +1.15): 2.00 - 1.90

What this means?

A fragmented or Asian handicap in quarters is essentially two bets in one. One condition is first handicap and the other handicap.

It is mostly explained as a split bet (Split), but most bookmakers offer quarterbacks. However, it is exactly the same thing if you see -1.25 or -1, -1.5 in both cases the bet is split in two.

In the first half, Milan has a odds of 2.00 for handicap -1, and in the second half the same odds but handicap is -1.5. Both bets are counted separately, independently of one another, for half of the money invested. If you bet on Milan and he wins with two goals difference you get a complete payout or the payment is multiplied by odds of 2.00. If Roma wins, you lose both halves, or your entire payment.

But what happens if Milan wins by one goal difference? In that case, you will be refunded your stake from one of the bets (the handicap part is -1), while the other part (1.5) is lost. For example, you paid 1,000 dinars, 500 dinars are refunded and the other 500 are lost.

In order to start betting on Asian handicap you first need to understand the whole concept. Maybe most players don't believe a "consolation prize" is not enough. In the long run, this return on money can be of great importance to player capital.

Shared profits

What if, in all of the above situations, we pay on Lazio?

If Milan wins by two or more goals difference, we will lose all new ones, and if it is a draw or Lazio wins we get a bet with odds of 1.90. But what if Milan wins by exactly one goal difference?

The answer is: We get it, but not all 100%, however the payout will be great.

Again, we need to divide the bet again into two parts: the first part ("+ 1" handicap Lazio) would be refunded, and the second part (with "+1.5" handicap for Lazio), you win the bet. We'll imagine putting $ 100 on Lazio. First, we will return 50 euros from the first part. And for the second part, out of the remaining 50 euros, we had a profit of 1.90 and 95 euros. In total, we had a payment of € 145.

Asian Handicap - All Options

Unlike 1 x 2 bets, where the odds of winning are 33%, in Asian betting the odds are 50%. There are various types of this type of betting.

Asian Handicap 0 - The odds of winning any team are equal, you win if the team you bet on wins, and if it is a draw, your stake is returned.

Asian Handicap 0.25 - If you choose -0.25, a team that wins by any difference brings you a winning type. If he draws, you lose half of the stakes, and if he loses, you lose everything. If you played +0.25 and the team you played wins, no matter what the score, you win. If you play draw you get half of the stakes.

Asian Handicap 0.5 - If you choose -0.5 the team you bet on must win in order to win, and if you play +0.5 you win if the team you bet on is a draw or a draw.

Asian Handicap 0.75 - If the team you played on handicap -0.75 wins with 2 or more goals, you win a bet. If he wins by one goal difference, half the bet is returned to you and half is bet on the odds. If he plays a draw or loses, you lose the bet. If you decide on a +0.75 handicap and the team you played wins or you played draw, you get a bet. If he loses with one goal difference, half the bet is returned. If he loses with 2 or more goals, he loses his stake.

Asian Handicap 1 - If you choose -1 the team you bet on must win by at least 2 goals difference. If you win by one goal difference, your stake will be refunded. Selecting the +1 team you bet on should win or be a draw. If you lose by just one goal difference, you get the money back.

Asian Handicap 1.5 - If you choose to bet -1.5 to get the team you bet on, you must win by at least two goals difference. If you choose +1.5 the team you bet on should win or be a draw, but also if he loses with only one goal difference.

Double Asian Handicap - The bet is divided into two parts. For example, if you bet 0, -0.5, you win if the team you bet on wins with at least one goal difference. If it is a draw, you lose half your stake and the rest is returned. If you choose 0, you get +0.5 if the betting team wins. However, if 50% of your bets are drawn, you will be returned and the other 50% will be won.
